This design celebrates Odisha's cultural heritage with forms, materials, and aesthetics inspired by the region. The flowing, curved walls echo the natural landscape and local craftsmanship, creating a welcoming space that redefines public toilets as community-friendly. A circular skylight represents the Sun Temple's iconic wheel, honoring Odisha’s architectural legacy and letting in natural light to create a sense of openness. Local materials, earthy tones, and natural textures blend with the surroundings and reduce environmental impact. Brick jali walls provide ventilation while reflecting Odisha’s artisanal touch. Perforated screens and clerestory windows enhance ventilation and natural light, saving energy. Sloping roofs and jaali screens are adapted to Odisha’s hot, humid climate and heavy monsoons.
