Creating a community toilet block which combines functionality, community engagement with simple and sleek design. The color scheme, inspired by Kolkata taxis which are in yellow and blue colour, creating a familiar and local connectivity for the community. The color palettes we used are bold Yellow which symbolizes joy, auspiciousness and Blue colour which adds a sense of calmness. This makes the structure easily identifiable as a public utility. The caretaker space is strategically positioned between the entrances, allowing easy view of the premises. Perforated metal sheet design reduces the need for artificial lighting while letting in naturally ventilation, helping to keep the air fresh by dispersing odors. At night, lighting from the interior can softly filter out through the perforations, gently illuminating the structure's exterior, adding to the sense of safety and visibility.
